CORPORATE INVESTIGATION

 

I have certificates in Corporate Investigation and Investigation Management

 

Corporate investigation is used when there are allegations of misconduct

in the workplace. This is usually harassment or fraud.

 

Investigations must be conducted according to the principles

of Natural Justice (not only actually conducted in an unbiased manner

but seen to be conducted by an unbiased person).

 

Investigations of this type is often best conducted by an external person.

It may involve any documentary evidence as well as interviews with

Complainants, witnesses and those accused.

 

The investigation report is then given to either HR or management with

Recommendations as to whether the complaint is likely to be true,

appropriate responses from the organisation and where necessary whether

a matter needs to be referred to police.
